MUMBAI - Cement prices in Maharashtra and Gujarat have been hiked by 8-10 rupees beacuse of unavailablity of railway wagons, an official of the Cement Manufacturers Association said on Friday.

"The governmet has given priority of allotment of railway wagons to foodgrains and fertilisers. So there is a serious dearth of availability of wagons," Sanjay Ladiwala, who is also the president of Cement Stockists and Dealers Association of Mumbai told newschannel CNBC TV18.
